COMMUNITY FAMILY PRESERVATION PROGRAM

The goal of is to assure that children shall achieve permanency through reunification, adoption,  and guardianship. The community family preservation program provides short-term, family-focused, and community-based services to help protect children by strengthening and preserving families whose children are at risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and out-of-home placement.
PROGRAM DETAILS
  • To receive one-hour weekly In-Home Outreach Counseling (IHOC) services, a family must be referred by a children's social worker from Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

  • Services are provided according to the needs of the family and are provided with quality and culturally sensitive support in English, Cambodian, Vietnamese, and Spanish. ​  ​
​
  • IHOC counselors provide comprehensive assessment, case management, referrals, counseling, and monitoring of child safety and crisis intervention.
​
  • Multi-Disciplinary Case Planning Committee (MCPC) meetings are part of the FPN services when families, DCFS children's social worker or probation officer and FPN staff work together to develop a service plan and monitor the family's progress.
